I'm a little confused as to why you need the two soundcards in operation?

I just use the external soundcard, both at home and for live gigs, and it does everything I need. I use front spkrs for the main output, and rear spkrs for monitoring, all on the one external soundcard.

It's a little late to set my system up, as I've been working tonight, however I'll have more time tomorrow. I'll set it up and try to solve this problem for you.

I'm sure that it's going to be pretty easy, so don't worry! ;)
