I'll check my outputs on my Asio4all, and my soundcard and post my set up here. It did take me a little while to get it right, so don't worry too much yet! ;)

Sorry it took so long!

Starting with the soundcard (I presume you've got the drivers installed).

I've got the 'front out' on the souncard connected to my amplifier.

'Rear out' is where I've got the headphones.

Now going to the configuration menu in Cross:

The device is set as ASIO4ALL v2. You'll then need to click on the 'control panel' button next to this selection box, which should bring up an Asio4all box. Click on the spanner in the bottom right corner for advanced options.

Click on the button to the left of 'USB Multi-Channel Audio Device' - it should light up with a little triangle. Now click on the little box with a Cross inside to expand this option - make sure that 'Out: 8x 8-96KHz. 32Bits' is lit up.

That's it for Asio, so close it. You should be back to the audio settings.

On the outputs, select as follows:

Output 1: - Audio Device 1/Audio Device 2
Output 2: - Audio Device 5/Audio Device 6

Check that Routing Mode is set to Dual Stereo, and that Output 2 is set to Cue on the diagram and you should be good to go!

Best of luck - I hope that this works. ;)

All set as you described but still no sound from the head phones. I think I may have a duff sound card so will contact the supplier for a replacement.
Cheers for the info Kev

All may not be lost - I forgot the settings on the control panel of the soundcard!

When I click on the icon in the taskbar (bottom right) a box comes up.

For 'System Input' I've got '4 CH' and for 'Output Mode' I've got '4 Speakers' selected.

To check the setup, you can click the different speakers in the diagram on the right.

Try that before sending the soundcard back. ;)

Wahay I got it working.
Tried the s/c control panel as described and it would not let me change the system input from 2 ch to 4 ch so I closed down Cross le and tried changing it again, this time it allowed me to change from 2 ch to 4 ch. I changed the output to 4 spk and then restarted Cross le. Low and behold it worked. i must say at this point though that it will only work on the Cross LE 1.2.9 version, i tried it on the 1.3.2 version but it just was not having any of it even though the exact same config was used (strange).
Now that it is all working I can give it a good test drive.

One thing I do like about the s/c control panel is that I can finely tune the headphone volume via the speaker shifter which is a good touch as I found the headphone volume was pretty high even when the cue volume was turned down to its minimum setting.

Big up to you Kev, you the man :D :D :D :D
