Loading WAVs into MixVibes

Postby DJ Doodle on 04 Jan 2012, 16:44

Hi - I've just got the MixVibes software with the Ion DiscoverDJ outfit and can't seem to download WAVs into the software - I can get all my MP3s - and tracks I didn't think were MP3s - but most of my music won't load.

Am I missing something simple here or do music tracks have to be MP3s to be loaded into MixVibes (if so how can I get my WAVs into that format.

I'd appreciate any ideas/help/advice on this.

Thanks for comment Dan

My WAVs are all ripped into Windows Media Player and I've burned them to CDs for mix-ups so I don't think they are protected.

As I said some CDs whoich I thought had been ripped as WAVs have copied across, but appear in Mix Vibes as MP3s.

When I go File/Improt Directory it only brings over those music files stored in WMP which appear to be MP3s - none of the folders with WAVs in appear to have any content.

I just wondered if there was some kind of selection menu I've missed. alternatively I've got 1156 medias copied across, has this filled it up?

Thanks for any help - let me know if you need more information.

I can confirm that normal WAV files do actually work in Mixvibes.

I Personally I use mp3's on the highest quality setting (320k) and cannot hear the difference from WAV files at all - and they take up much less space.

There are plenty of converters available, many of them freeware if you decide to convert your collection.

This place: http://www.download.com has lots to choose from.

Best of luck! :)

I beg you to use AAC-320 when using compressed formats, just sounds better

^I completely agree - AAC at the highest bit-rate sounds better. :)

Sadly, I can't use them in Mixmeister, so I'm forced to use MP3 instead :(
