Hi there....
I need to now if is possible to set up the Cross with time codes an a MIDI controller, for example, traktor X1?
I want to control some variables in the program while i´m mixing without messing with the PC.
For example,i want to have full control of the time codes and the cd players, and at the same time i want to set up a MIDI controller to have the effects, loop and hot cues.I Have already seen a controller o might solve my problem is the Akai - LPD 8....
Can anyone help me?

Hey,

You bought both: Cross and Cross DJ both can work with MIDI devices but only Cross can work with time code.

Yes it s possible to run time code mode on Cross and controll the effects with a MIDI device like the lpd 8 from akai. I use the akai also for loop and effect selection and it works flawless.

If need more information or help maPping you can ask here again.

Regards
Christian

Hey,

[EDIT]: you can use effects and so on with the controller but Loop will only work in relative mode!

as you posted in the karma + (thanks for that) you need help with the mapping. So please give me details about what you want to map to what button to which function and so on. I can help you then with it or give detailed describtions how it works.

At Cross or Cross DJ it is very easy to map a controller. Go to the MIDI prefs -> create a new mapping -> and klick then the function you want to map on a little green + and then press the button on the controller.
Then you have to edit the parameters and finish ;) the function is mapped!

So if you need some details or so please write here again and I will give some detailed answers or help for the mapping.

regards
Christian

Thanks for the quickness in the answer...this history of the modes should end...this should work all together...i don´t like to work in relative mode....maybe the mixvibes remember that and do an upgrade...

no absolute -> no cues, no looping. kinda logical, isnt it?

you need relative mode for those.

no it doesnt, it´s a bug in traktor 2.1.1. the display just doesnt change.
in traktor it doesnt even jump to relative if you use the software-pitch...

ok mr DJ Rossi all software have their own life and the life of Cross isn't going soon to an END.
But all software have also their own priorities as Djing or Vjing is a huge subject.
