Probably this has been mentioned but haven’t read it yet…
I analyzed some tracks and wrote some comments info and I checked that nothing has been saved in tracks id with 1.7 and 1.6.1 too but 1.5.5 saved them correctly. This means that Cross 1.7 and 1.6.1 does not save id tags which is a serious problem. Please correct me if I am wrong.

I've checked them with mp3tag. No info were updated. Only 1.5.5 updated the infos (comments, bpm, gentre). Also when i edited them and checked with Cross, when, i "reload" tags, it showed the previous info.
Thanks a lot Stelios, Greece

Ok..here's what i did and what happened.
-Ripped a new cd -Imported tracks to Cross 1.7 -Analyzed them -Wrote comments for each track and checked bmp (routine job) -Save mediabase and closed Cross
-Imported tracks to mp3tags and: Bmps were there but no comments were stored. Not a letter. All tag fields were stored correctly but not in comment field.
Thanks a lot Stelios, Grece

Some data are strictly for the collection and won't be written into tags. Need to check/see with dev...

Sorry but bpm is not correctly stored.
I analyzed a track and calculates bpm 120.30. Save collection and close Cross. Open mp3tag and it shows 120 bpm. Open Cross and reload tags for this track and it shows 120.

Weird... I'll check this.
EDIT : not seen What I did : - a folder with some tracks - analyze them - load them into any other DJ application
The bpm is the same as into Cross
- manually change the bpm into Cross - refresh/reload tags into the other software
The bpm is the same as into Cross
I finally try with the mp3tag.de tagger and the results was the same.
On a side not, the decimal part is not part of the ID3tag specs so may be this is your issue. Also check if you have check the 'save changes in tags' into general/preferences.

Also, removing and relocating tracks from one folder to another, as a result of not saving correctly tags, Cross is missing the gain db setting so i have to analyze them again.
- Yes "save changes in tags" is checked - In 1.5.5 demical part was stored in tags. In 1.7 is different, isn't it?
Thanks a lot Stelios, Greece

The tags protocol doesn't allow decimal so no application can write decimal into the tag. It have never existed, but you can do what you want into your own database, and this is where decimal come-in.
