Setting up audio preferences using Cross Discover [Solved]

Postby Paul_a on 15 Oct 2011, 01:14

Hello

I hope someone can help with my soundcard problem.

I have a Soundblaster 24 bit sound card which has 3 outputs. So I want to have output 1 going to my speakers and output 2 to headphones.

When I go into preferences and then audio I can see that the soundblaster has been found and shows output 1 with 'Left/Right', Output 2 shows 'None', however if I select the drop down it gives me 'Left/Right' but takes off output 1.

It seems it is not recognising there are 2 outputs on the soundcard Is this an issue with my soundcard?

Any ideas how to get Cross to recognise I have more than 1 output.

BTW I am using Dual stereo routing mode.

Many thanks in advance.

Thanks for the info. Given my soundcard is over 6 years old, think it is time for a new card that will be recognised correctly. :)

  :?: if you like the program, then the thought process might leed you to thinking about moving up to U-Mix Control Pro ,  updateable Cross DJ,sound card installed and potential of using tc vinal or cd, also has the ability to use the iPad remote   a little more info on your system and set up will give us insight and room to give opions,,when i pucrhed the sound blaster for the computer build ,didnt have enough info to make a better choice :!:

:!:  tjust think i found a work around,,,download a free program called asio4all, read instruction carefully and once installed you can select it in preferences/audio/ it should see all of your outputs avaible and you should be able to use a second set of outputs to monitor your mix   thats what i used when the sound doggle would not play correctly on the newer programs

Excellent advice Daniel, downloaded asio4all and was able to configure my sound card no problem at all. So my second output now monitors the mix. Perfect!

Thanks again your help is much appreciated.
