Can someone please tell me what this option actually does to your Collection(s)

Hey,
I tested the funktion yesterday and I noticed nothing. Everything like before. It would be interesting to know what happens exactly
. I think it is something with the structure of the database
but I'm note shure.

I've just tested this morning and I can't see what it actually does.

doesn´t make a noticeable difference for me as well.
@blackbrook:
i´m getting ram-crashes with "optimized" collections too,
so i don't think that´s it.

"optimize collection" would be great to delete double entrys, but doesnt work -.-
