[SOLVED] timecode problem on Vfx software

hello mixvibes community!

i have found d problem of my 2turntable using Vfx software, its the timecode quality almost zero. the manual said it should be atleast 90%

i buy new 2 ortofon with 2 new needle and i buy new 2timecode vinyl i cleaned it everytime i try, and the turntable grounds and wires are cleaned and well fit, also i try many usb cables, i even buy these 100USdollar(NEO class s)USB CABLE only for my Vfx software, and still the timecode percentage is almost zero.

if i use my turntable and reloop dj2(master edition) as stand alone, the sound quality is very good, and if i use only the reloop dj2 alone with Vfx software it is ok too. but when i use my 2turntable with reloop as my interface and MIDI mixer, the Vfx timecode is very low.

hope the mixvibes community can answer me as soon as possible, because im hoping to be the first vj that can use 2turntable with mixvibes VFXsoftware in my gigs here in the philippines.

thanks! hoping for your reply soon!!!

  :?: Couple of thoughts   not to familiar with the Vfx software or time code, ,,is there a possibility of posting a config report like in DVS,, and also is there setting for line/phono input, and what is it set at.. :?: :?: also double check in the references or manual that you havent missied some setting that needed for proper tc set up.  any other info as to setup and system config might help the fourm get this sorted for you

It could be one of the famous "i-Core and USB 1.1 audio interfaces" issues because your cpu is a Intel Core i7-2600K CPU @ 3.40GHz. Can you hear the timecode in your mixer when you use the bypass function? (Bypass function means that you can play real vinyl through your audio interface and software). If so and you don't get any timecode percentage then you migh try a USB 2.0 audio interface OR install WinXP Pro which runs really great with all of my audio interfaces (U46MK2, Hercules DJ Trim, U-Mix Control Pro) where there were some smaller issues on Win7.

Cheers,

Steve

hi!

do u mean that reloop dj2 (master edition) is a 1.1 usb audio interface & not 2.0 usb?

well my laptop is great with reloop and Vfx software alone,
its just the timecode issue on turntable, do i need to downgrade my o.s. from win7 to xp pro?

also the reason i buy highest specs on PC like i7 2nd gen, 8gb DDR3 mem. & 2gb dedicated videocard with 2.0 & 3.0 usb is because i thought that mixvibes recommend higher specs,

also the reason i buy reloop instead of U-Mix44 is that there is less connection like reloop alone can be stand alone mixer 4 2turntable also Vfx software with reloop alone also possible, not like U-Mix44 u can only play videos on 2turntable but u still need a MIDI mixer to mix videos so theres a lot of settings.

but if these settings really fits my needs i guess i have to
do what ever it takes, in fact i have cost a lot of money for the settings i long to be,

hope you could give me the best settings from 2 turntable using VFXsoftware, thank u very much.

It was just a suggestion made by my experience. There are a lot of users having trouble with the new i-core processors and USB 1.1 audio interfaces. I did not do a research but there are really less USB 2.0 audio interfaces out there. Befor you install XP you might check other tips. I do not want to be the guy who told you to install XP and afterwards it does not work better!

ah! ok i understand, thats no problem,
well im just asking for the best on what i really like to do,
in fact, maybe only few people know these kind of settings
(2turntable on VFXsoftware on MIDI mixer)

like here in my country theyre all like tractor & seratos, well its good! but im now videodiscjockey and Vfx is d best for me than any other video software but no one here can answer on what i want to do,
so thats all, i just want to be different from them, like using the classic hardware on a new generation software,

so maybe mixvibes community can help me more about these little diff. settings that im asking, hope you understand,
thanks a lot.

afaik there´s a usb2.0 interface buuilt into the reloop controller.

Offtopic.HorsSujet!
only by the specs it can't be usb1.1 as 24bit/96k 4in/4out would exceed the usb1.1 bandwidth by far

Anyhow, it still can be a sandy-bridge issue, as from my experience even usb2.0 works better with c2d than with icores.
If i where you i´d check if there´s any bios-update available for your PC.
