MIDI Controller not fully functional with Cross 16

On the Audio tab,

Output 1&2 (Main Speakers)
Output 3&4 (Headphones)

You might need to change Output 3&4 manually from the drop down. I had to do it for my Hercules RMX

Hi Jim, thanks for your help... but which audio tab? In Cross preferences? I only have 3 outputs listed and the options are either 'Left/right' or 'none'... ?

Is it not something on my PC settings? so close now!!

ah, see in the first drop down at the top of that page, my Hercules E2 doesn't appear, so I've just selected my 'primary sound driver'. any advice??

The Hercules DJ Control MP3 e2 (if this is what you have) doesn't seem to have a built soundcard so you will not be able to monitor (Cue) with just your Primary Sound driver

You will need a ASIO capable USB soundcard, so you can route your "monitoring" though that.

Are you using one?

I think so mate.

You could possibly try one of these little USB soundcards which you can find on ebay (if you are on a tight budget) and if Cross allows you to use 2 soundcards.

If not, you will need something like the U-MIX44 or the Maya44

I don't get it though, the E2 is listed in the Cross preferences MIDI list... it must work!!

it should work as a MIDI contoller if it doesnot have /or you dont have two sets of stero out put to use the the main will go to master out and you will not have a sc output to use for monitoring,like suggested above either a multi channel sc or get the U-Mix Control Pro which has a sc and MIDI functions and a built in monitoring section,,also ability to route your tc thru for the vinal feel
