No need to apologise. If u don't know the subject I wouldn't expect anyone to respond. It's just annoying that I've bought a mixvibes product and mixvibes aren't interested in looking after their customers when they encounter a problem with it. I might email them one more time but on this showing their after-sales customer care is shocking. Thanks anyway.

Hello,
Maybe you have bad audio settings. Please try:
- set the u-rip22 on Phono
- choose the device USB audio CODEC in 'Audio device options'
- choose Yes to the preAmp option
- set the input level in Windows Sound preferences to increase/decrease the level. I think that you should decrease the recording level (around +4dB). Please check this FAQ (for the U-MIX44, but it is the same thing for the U-RIP22):

Thankyou, thankyou, thankyou djegun. I now seem to be getting a signal through to vinyl ripper. The gain control does not seem to make any difference to the dB meter (the signal sits between -10 and 0dB and the LED is constantly green). I have already ripped one piece of vinyl to mp3 and it plays great. I take back all i said about mixvibes now, haha. Thanks again to all who helped me out!

Actually the hardware gain control only works in LINE mode (not in PHONO). By the way, in PHONO mode you can use the software gain.
