Hi please can you help. I have just bought the U-Mix DJ Set and installed but the iTunes library will not import and I have tried all the methods in the manual as far as I can see.

I cannot get any music to play in the software at all..... Any advice?

Thanks for your help.

Darren

@Darren,

Could you please register the serial in your User Control Panel.

User Control Panel > Profile

ucp.php?i=169

Once this is done, you will be able to download from your download centre the latest update for Cross or CrossDJ (I'm guessing that's what you've got ;)) which is 1.6 and see if your problem persists.

downloads.php

Cheers

Hey,

as I can see from your profil you have registered DVS Home 7. Yould you check at your installation directory if the file:
preset/decoder.ini
contains the following row:
Code: Select all
.aac .mp4 .m4a      ; dshowaudio decoder

You have to install an m4a decoder too. iTunes self is I think not installing a global decoder file so you have to install a seperate one.

If this is done the files should work (if they are drm protected it could maybe not work!)

Hi all. I appreciate the help but haven't a clue really how to do what you are suggesting. I am PC literate but only to a certain level.

I am a bit frustrated as I bought this software as it claimed easy import from iTunes?? Can I get any video tutorial or phone assistance to get this working please?

Please advise.... Thanks

Hey,

I'm too busy currently so I can't help via phone or with an video but I can explane it a bit more:

First go at your computer: If you installed it to the default section your program is at the following path:
C:\Program Files (x86)\MixVibesDVS7

MixVibesDVS7 could something else because I don't know how the home edition is called at the directory. But I think it will be something with MixVibes ;).

At these folder you have an folder called "Preset". At these Preset folder there is an file called:
decoder.ini -> open it with an Editor (right mouse key -> open with... -> editor)

Look for the following line:
Code: Select all
.aac .mp4 .m4a      ; dshowaudio decoder

If not put it in the file and save it. If it is there you can close it without saving.

next step:
You need an M4A, AAC Codec. you can find a allround package here:
http://www.mediacodec.org/

It is a free Codec base with nearly every codec you will need ;). It is open source and it is updated very often.
Install it and after that restart your computer and open MixVibes Home 7 and test ist again.

Christian

Hi there that Codec seems to have worked now so many thanks for that but I still have 1 slight issue in as much as I am struggling to configure the headphones and USB soundcard. I can get one or the other so the music to play through the headphones but not the laptop and the other way round but not headphone sound as I am playing on the other deck? Any ideas?

Thanks

  wow you are not going to understand this   home is not set up to monitor in that fashion  if you are using the software only then it wont function ,if you use a external mixer then you can monitor like that thru the mixers monitoring output  check the search tab under topic home monitoring if you have any more questions ,and i am offline   my suggestion is to upgrade to Cross
