Cross 1.6 Mapping issue

Postby Dj Nico on 02 Sep 2011, 06:19

I noticed that there is one ontroll on the U-Mix Controler that is not mapped to the skin. The volume knob for the headphones.
When I turn the knob, the volume works, but the knob displayed on the skin does not respond.
This does not affect my mixing, but it would be great if it worked.

This is the same on the Hercules RMX. I believe (this is just for the RMX) that is is no MIDI note generated from this knob hence the software doesn't respond to it's movement.

Maybe it's the same sort of thing for the U-Mix Control Pro.

Indeed, that's a hardware volume control, without any correlation with the software knob.

Since I got it for a betatest (and reported it ;) ) I was waiting for someone to mention this :) Just as a sugestion: Maybe it is possible to implement it in another, forthcoming controller ;)

Ok, Thanks for the reply.
If the knob on the controler can't be mapped, and moving the knob on the skin has no affect to the headphone volume, why is it there. I think they should remove it from the skin if it cannot be mapped to the controler.
Maybe it works on other controlers? :?:

The knob on the skin as an effect too, both knobs (skin and hardware) "add up".

Cross DJ is not only used with the U-Mix Control Pro, with some controllers you need the skin knob, with others not (as the U-Mix Control Pro). That's why you see the knob on the skin !
