Vfx help

Postby FileSpnr on 27 Aug 2011, 17:57

I installed the Vfx software.
When I open the software, the Vfx controller shows in the MIDI list.
I set the soundcard to Vfx.
I get no functions from the controlle,r and no sound either.
I turn on "info"
The message at the bottom of the screen reads
midi1-ch16#9f722(NOTEON 127 34) Command=FIRMWAREVERSION

moving controls on the device does not change this message

Did you unplug und plug it in again? Did you reboot your machine? Is it activated in the MIDI tab of the preferences?

Ok I have it running nw.

So the power button being NOT lit up is when the device is on? Is that correct?

I was thinking the Blue light meant ON

What worked was pressing the power button aftre the softwrae was running. Does that sound correct?

Yes that is correct! Blue power button means offline and if the row of red and yellow lights are running from one side to the other then it is in "stand by" mode.

I have another issue.
I installed and ran first on Win 7 pro 32-bit, all ran well

I then installed on Win 7 pro 64-bit, and the left jog wheel works properly, but the right jog wheel releases the track while I'm touching the jog.

Any suggestions?

Same machine (yes you can install a 32 Bit Win 7 on a 64 Bit machine)? Same mapping? Everything set up similar?

Please head over to the Download Center and see if there is a driver for your Vfx Control. I know that there is one - I've had one when I was using Vfx - and maybe this is what you need.
If not then please contact support@mixvibes.com and ask for the driver (for Vfx Control MIDI Controller)!

Hello File,

Can you give us more details, what version of Vfx software are you using, have you installed the latest software on your computer. Installing the latest version of Vfx might solve your problem!

Best Regards.
