Cross backwards?

Postby thoms on 08 Jul 2011, 08:40

I just recently bought my third DVS system, Traktor scratch pro. Now, trying this out has really dissapointed me. It often plays the songs backwards, and sometimes only forwards. So when you want to scratch and you drag your record backwards the song just plays forwards.
Reading the boardforum of NI it seems Im not alone. Many people have this issue. Not a good thing when playing in clubs!

Has anyone encountered the same problem with a Mixvibes product?

I now see that Cross is a WAY better product. The simplicity and logicall way its buildt is far better than the hyped up Traktor.

Agreed

No such problems with Cross since August ยด09.
Some minor bugs, but nothing that has ever caused me any trouble in a live-situation.

cheers

Yes,I have had this problem, only once though. I went to low with my old sound card ASIO buffer when I was testing Cross out with my old Toshiba laptop

I Know now that if you go to low with your sound card ASIO buffer, than your system can handle, it can cause strange things to happen (and not just audio dropouts) with your setup,

I must say that I have encountered very few problems with Cross. The probs have mainly been user errors and my inexperience in using DVS systems  and the response on this board has been very helpfull. Im a very satisfied Mixvibes customer.

Im sure Traktor has potensial too, but after using Cross it feels like its to much choices and buttons and stuff. It looks messy, feels messy and acts messy.

The reason I bought TSP was the audio8dj card( almost for free,a bargain :D ). It makes recording your mix so much easier. I dont need a second laptop or audacity due to that.
Maybe this is possible in Cross too using audio8dj ?
