[SOLVED] setting up new Mixvibes Cross Pack. HELP!

Postby Tomfoolery on 05 Jul 2011, 19:02

Hi,
I'm sorry if this has been posted a million times before, but i've searched the forums, and had no luck.

Basically Im getting a a short snippet say 30 secs of really distorted sound which is maxing out my levels on my mixer, so I've tried turning down the levels on mixer amp, and softwarre, but to no luck. The sound is really distorted.

The setup

Deck outputs to u46mk2 chanel 1/2 + 3/4
u46mk2 outputs to mixer both to line inputs
Line inputs selected on mixer
Line inputs selected on u46mk2
input levels on Cross cd\line
routing mode external mixer\ active inputs 1,2,3,4
active outputs, 1,2,3,4 not 5,6
asio sound driver selected.

Im totally baffeled, any Help would be greatly appreciated.

Also have tried a re-installation.

and soundcard set to phono

Hi!

Nice you found the solution to your problem!

To be a bit more precise, the rule for line/phono settings is basically "Only one phono" while the mixer is always set up in line (soundcard output), i.e.:
- Either Cross Phono + Soundcard Line, the best solution for tight Vinyl Control (as for scratching -- most of the time you want this solution).
- Or Cross Line + Soundcard Phono, the best solution for real vinyls playback thru Cross (when its an important part of your set).

Cheers,
SylMV
