Did you activate realtime priority during the installation? This is what I did ;)

Over here it shows latencys between 46 ms and 69 ms. To be clear: I do not user my audio interface for mixxx or other timecode software, just as an interface to listen to music ;) Therefore I never worried about the high latency.
What's your aim for using the U46?

Live performance, principally using things like Pure Data and Supercollider.

It's fine really and the box itself sounds really nice. I've found if I mess with the settings in Jack too much, Pure Data in particular returns lots of a/d/a errors and dropouts, so I can live with half a second of latency to avoid this.
