Recording Bug

I think I have discovered a bug. When I am recording I usually used the preformat ('date and time'). But I wanted to give the recorded wav a more specific name and labeled it 'Perceptions 034'. So I started a recording of about 18 minutes and canceled the mix because it was not that good. Afterwards I have started a new recording without having changed the name in the recording preferences. No I have mixed a complete hour and stopped after the finished mix. When I wanted to have a quick listen into the mix I was stunning because the wav had a size of approximately ~250MB instead of ~650MB and its length was only about 18 minutes - those 18 minutes from the first recording.
So it did not overwrite the first recording properly.
Can anybody recreate this?
