Mixvibes not Responding to controller

I just bought discover DJ today and it came with mixvibes...

I install the software and i plug in the discover DJ controller and mixvibes is not responding to anything i do on the controller.

The buttons on the controller are lit up but nothing is happening.

I am new with this kind of stuff, is there anything im forgetting

any suggestions.

usb drivers issue

i experience this problem as well too often, it's like my discover DJ has moods i don't expect that from a machine though... is there something i can do that actually works? i often reboot my computer, unplug the controller, change the usb port and if i'm lucky it works but i'm not a gambler and would prefer a simple solution if there is one for my both decks to function when i touch them in scratch mode...

I think Ion would be the one to contact if the controler is faulty.
