OK, now, could you try the U46DJ with another application ? Garage band, iTunes or whatever...

EDIT : I was just thinking, may be it is the usb port that is unpowered (frequent with some Macs). Try in another port or feed the soundcard with a power adapter.

I'll try today with a power adapter. I'll tell you if it does work.

I'm doing it now, it seems to be working. I'll tell you in 2 hours... I have iTunes and garage band open.

lexidata wrote:the problem is a very short blank/cut in the sound followed by a really big latency. But the user interface is still reacting fast/normally (browsing files, loops, etc...) So Cross is still working fine but the sound card (mixvibes U46DJ) suddenly has a really long latency (about 250ms = half a beat). Once the bug happend, I have that latency in other software too (garageband).

So i'm not sure if Cross "really" crashes.

Ok so we've got :
- Mac 10.5.8 + Cross 1.2.5 & 1.3.2
- Cross + internal sound card = no trouble
- any app + U46dj = no trouble
- Cross + U46DJ = trouble and then reported in any app+U46DJ
- no log at all
- no crashes
- no updater, spyware or anything like that

Yes the bug occurs in other apps (garageband) too. If I monitor the input in garageband I can hear that the timecode on the vinyl come with a "big" delay, exactly the same delay that I have in Cross. Closing Cross doesn't resolve the problem but restarting Cross does.

I've notice that if I start my computer and Cross is the first and only software running, the crash takes about an hour to comes. But if my computer was on before and some other software were launch before that the bug happens faster.

And, if I relaunch Cross, or go in Cross's audio preferences and make a change, the bug disappear for a few minutes only then comes back.

Most of the time, the bug happens if I load a track or click on one track in my iTunes playlist. I always look for tracks trough the "Cross iTunes"

I hope it's all clear.

ok I've try a very long run in mixing with Cross 1.3.2+U46DJ and OSX 10.5.6
I never happened to me (BT off/airport off/eth0 on).

I you switch off the inputs and play only with MIDI/keyboard/mouse or auto playlist does it also happen ?
