[solved related to weak external hdd] latency problem

I think I've found what the problem was.

I have reinstalled mac osx on a cleaned hard drive and the problem was still there. So it couldn't be a software issue in my mind from that point. And the soundcard was working fine in other software. The only thing that Cross was using that could have been the problem was the iTunes Library. And my iTunes Library was on an external HD POWERED BY USB. So I transfered all music on another externally powered HD and it is working like a charm. It's even faster too browse my library.
