Cross:: serial issue

hi all,

after expending around three hours, playing with the software with songs from hd directly, and testing the autoplay features, i went to next step, and fresh installed iTunes 7, and made a new list, to test the iTunes integration,

restarted my computer and when i was ready to begin , Cross asked me again for my SERIAL.


it might be a bug !!!!! imagine if your in party without the serial in hand............

what version of Mixvibes Cross are you useing?

aslo, on your windows xp installation do you have virus software or any other protection running diring your install?

try doing a full uninstall from windows, Control Panel, Add Remove Programs.

then delete this hidden folder in your system...

Documents and Settings\session_name\Application Data\MixVibes\Cross\

then reinstall.

hi,

i'm using the one that came on CD (box) 1.2.1,

my windows is audio optimazed without system restore and firewalls, my antivirus is kaspersky, but was disabled when instaling the program,

by the time the program asked again for my serial a just entered it and continued testing, it hasn't happend again.

do you want me to uninstall for any particular reason, security or can i just keep going ?

Just keep going & report. We check on our side but I never saw it before.

Happened again!!!

i was testing the performance of Cross with the tips on the tutorial in the part of killing the services, on msconfig and stoping all but the esential services, once i was done, what i did was enabling all services again restarted my computer and open Cross, then it happened asking for the SERIAL,,,

i had Cross 1.2.1 installed & experienced the same problem with the serial thing..... it's random & seems like a bug.

i just updated to 1.2.5
but havent tested long enough to notice if the bug is in this version as well.

i know i'm a little late replying to this post & understand that the issue may have been addressed already

mixvibes team should take care about this issue, since there are two or more users having this particular problem,

and since they have not "see" this before, put that in the "to do" list,

keep it going!!!

Same problem!

Yesterday I had a gig, I arrived at the party, booted up laptop and started Cross. AND I HAD TO ENTER MY SERIAL NUMBER!!! Ofcourse (like any other person) I didn't have it with me... So no gig for me...

Sorry you guys, but I'm really starting having second thoughts about buying Serato...

ALready had so much problems with Mixvibes, bought the Cross update and still there are problems...

We're on the issue. Did you update to the latest version? Are you on Windows or MAC?
