are you using a PC or a mac

if your using a mac....you need to set up a aggregate audio device
http://support.Apple.com/kb/ht1215...
[ no driver needed because mac is core audio ]

if your on a p.c....you need to run the Pioneer ASIO DRIVER and set audio up for two cdj in the asio driver

Hi, today I experienced I believe the exact same problem as described above. In preparation for a party that I'm to DJ at next week, I today at the club connected 2 CDJ2000's with 2 separate USB cables to my macbook pro running Cross 2.3. HID control integration and track browsing immediately worked perfectly for each individual CDJ2000, but somehow the sound of only 1 of the two CDJ2000's (either A or B, dependent on the audio settings in Cross) could be heard via the mixing panel (Pioneer DJM 800, the audio output of each CDJ2000 being connected directly to it). Could you please give a reaction, hint or whatever to help solve this problem?!

I must admit (next to the fact that I am deliberately using Cross version 2.3, not more/most recent version) I did not do any adjustments in audio/MIDI configuration, since it seemed that both CDJ2000's automatically where recognized in the list of devices, and individual HID control was working fine. Attached you can find screenshots of the audio setup options in Cross 2.3, of which I presume the cause - and solution - to this problem must be situated somewhere.

Note: all this I did together with a fairly experienced DJ, who also could not understand why the setup did not work with respect to audio output.

please help/respond! thank you in advance!

just got a brainwave. My mistake today was that I did not setup an aggregate audio device in audio/MIDI configuration, as described http://forum.mixvibes.com/search.php?st=0&sk=t&sd=d&sr=posts&keywords=aggregate+audio+device+setup, but now I do realize that it is essential to do so, I still wonder how the output 1/ output 2 will have looked like (will look like next week) when having done so. Anyone? (isn't there some manual or something like that, or preferably a youtube tutorial)?
