Those are the min specs for the application to run, not the minimum spec to have all the features running to their max outputs. For this you need to be at least into the required field.

It will just run, I'll have all sort of graphic freeze and hang, but the sound will be ok. It will be less responsive, I can't set the latency very low : it will just run. As an emergency or a backup it could do the job, as the main engine of a DMC show it can't.
As application grown up you need bigger and bigger specs. I have seen this on Mac, on PC, be it Traktor, Serato, MixVibes, Photoshop, Cubase and so on.
May be you were on the edge of being outperformed, but now you're in the field.
