Seriously guys? This is not a very nice answer to give users of such a flagship product. Denon is a very significant company, it's MC6000 is the mainstay for many a mobile DJ (which happens to be a group of DJs that a) make money DJ-ing and b) benefit a lot from many of the Cross functionality, ergo a key demographic group). It's predecessor was in the compatible list.
Now Mk2 is out and you tell us "well go map this insignificant 700+ euro from some unknown manufacturer yourself. We are busy developing the linux version that really the whole world is waiting for and really can't be bothered writing a few new controller mappings".
People, if there is a another reason you are not creating this mapping, please be honest and open about it, but don't give us the standard "every MIDI controller can be mapped" crap.
Those of us who have invested serious money in the MC6000 mk2 (after being a mk1 user with Cross for over a year) surely expected you'd take the mk1 mapping, see what changed, work the changes into a new mapping and off we go.
What will happen is that many will contemplate moving over to Serato. Not because they want to, but because of the lack of support and the lack of feeling they are taken seriously.
I still love the software, but this is really not good. I sold my mk1 and have been putting off buying the mk2 til I know that Cross supports it. But it's been months and not a single sign of anything happening on that front, as witnessed by the above "do it yourself" answer.
Please provide clarity. Tell us if you plan on having a mapping for the MC6000 mk2 and if so, when you expect it (and please don't give us the "we never talk about what we have planned"-speech. This isn't about telling us secrets about what features are coming out, this is simply about yes or no supporting certain hardware). And if you don't plan on supporting it, tell us too. We can decide on an alternative plan of action (probably switching to Serato).

Hi DJ Vintage, I really don't like the way you replied. Please calm down and don't be rude. Thanx. First, Rojec is not working for Mixvibes, he's a user, as you are, just for a longer time. Please keep kind with him. Second, stop writing bullshit about Linux version. Nobody's ever said whole mixvibes staff is busy on making a Linux version At last, sorry to say that we can't make MIDI mappings for all available controllers in the market. Making a mapping is time and money consuming. I know you think we are lazy guys, only working on useless stuff, but that's wrong. I just can't prevent you from thinking this though... Don't forget Serato and Denon have a deal. So that's just more than normal that the MC6000MK2 is already mapped By the way, Denon never get in contact with us concerning a deal to ensure MC6000MK2 support in Cross... so probably they're not interested in... Anyway, Rojec's reply is good and honest. MC6000Mk2 is not mapped but fortunately, Cross has a mapping engine built-in. I won't lie you, I doubt Mixvibes will have the time to make this mapping in a short time (above all for free). But, one of the main purposes of this community is to facilitate info, help, mappings (etc.) sharing between users. So if a motivated and not lazy user makes his own mapping, he'll be able to share it with those who want it! Cheers,

First off, let me apologize if I appeared rude, that wasn't my intention and it most definitely wasn't my plan to disrespect Rojec, so my apologies there as well.
Second, I don't think you are a lazy bunch spending your time on useless stuff. If you take the trouble to read some of my posts over at the Digital DJ Tips forum and blog, you will see that I am a rather avid supporter of Cross. If anybody mentions the "big three", I am the one to hurry and express my heart-felt opinion that it should be the "big 4" as Cross has earned a place in that line-up. What you DO hear in my reply is frustration. Frustration about something relatively simple (for those in the know) as a controller mapping, especially for a renowned brand as Denon and a controller which predecessor was a standard supported one in Cross, not being executed and questions about it's future availability being stalled. You did give me a clear answer this time, thank you. I don't necessarily agree with this course, but it's not my company, so I'll have to accept the direction you are moving in.
Third, I am not lazy either. I have a very full-time job, a relationship and also a company on the side, all in addition to DJ-ing (well-)paid mobile gigs. Plus I am a moderator for the Digital DJ Tips forum, which - as you are well aware of- can be time-consuming now and again. I lack the time to go in and get myself familiar with the whole mapping thing. Doing all the preparation necessary do to paying gigs keeps me plenty busy without spending hours and hours on getting a mapping right, only to find that on your first night out you missed something.
Fourth, on a more general note, one of the things that caught my attention when I was looking for a switch from Traktor was that Cross portrayed itself as the "most controllers supported and DVS with any soundcard" option. Imho, with Serato sweeping in at the moment and having their sticker on just about anything new coming out (and frankly I think Serato is way closer as competition to Cross than Traktor or VDJ are), it would make a lot of sense if Cross made sure that they'd offer a real alternative to Serato. That can only be if you support as many controllers as possible.
Fifth, you mentioned that Serato and Denon have a deal and that thus Serato had to make sure the mapping was available on release. This, of course, is true. When the mk1 MC6000 came out, it had deals with VDJ and Traktor, yet there was a Cross mapping. With the mk1 mapping already available and the extreme knowledge of Cross functionality at mixvibes, for a simple user like me, it's hard to understand why a mapping can't be done. Especially if we DO see mappings for 35 euro controllers sold at Lidl and other low end supermarkets, but not for a 700+ euro controller from one of the top brands in the business. Again, I respect your course, I just don't necessarily agree.
We see Traktor drawing back on itself. More and more seeming to be satisfied with supporting their own hardware, of which there is plenty. It seems they are happy to end up with a core of Traktor DJ's that use both their software and hardware. The old "Apple-ish" approach of Serato seems to be gone and they are pulling out all stops to have at least a few controllers with each brand supported, rather than just a few select soundcards and controllers as it was only two years ago.
The market is moving and it is moving fast. Yes, features are important and I think lots of features in Cross are really nice and clever. But more important is the number of people you can reach. And just as I didn't want to go buy a new controller when I switched from Traktor, I don't want to go buy a new controller now just to be able to continue using Cross. The MC6000 is (for several reasons) the controller I am used to, feel comfortable with, fits my workflow to a T and that fits my flightcase and whole mobile set-up. I intend to buy the mk2 because the small things I disliked about the mk1 were fixed. And I fully expected Cross to live up to it's reputation and provide a mapping for it.
You have been very clear that this is something not about to happen. This, unfortunately, has me seriously considering my options now. The most obvious being a switch to Serato, which not everybody around me sees as a downgrade by the way. I don't want to, but the alternative is to get another controller and that isn't really an option either.
It pains me, because I know many other MC6000 mk2 users will not consider Cross as a viable alternative anymore.
One last comment. With the appearance of controllers and DJ software, it became much easier to become a "DJ". And there are plenty of young guys and gals out there that enjoy all the fiddling around with gear and mappings and all that and have the time for it.
For me, it's a tool, something I use to make money with. It's like buying a car and then having to spend hours fiddling with the navigation system before you can go anywhere. I expect to get in, get the navigation system of my choice and be on my way. The Denon MC6000 is not a controller that will find it's way into many bedroom-DJ's bedrooms. It's a workhorse, particularly suitable for mobile work. And mobile DJ's just want stuff that works and spend their time on collection, track preparation, gig preparation and not on fiddling with their gear and mapping.
Ok, that is the last I will say on the matter (at least in open chat, I am more than happy to continue in PM :-) ), I promise :-P. The only reason I bother to even write this, is because I care, I like the company and I love the product.
I sincerely hope you move mapping up a lot higher on the priority list, because I think it is one of your unique selling points. If Cross wants to move up from it's current place on the ranking (top 2 in my book, but probably top 4-5 in other's), it needs to make for an out-of-box experience for all users contemplating something else than whatever LE version they got sold with their controller. Just my look on things, of course.
Again, I apologize for coming across as rude or offending anyone.

Thanx for clarification Many true statements in your post! Just a detail, about cheap controllers, like those sold at Lidl, being mapped. Of course that's neither because we chose to map them instead of of other ones, nor because we find this devices more interesting or easy to map. But those brands just paid for it, then as any company in the world, we prefer working for cash rather than for free ... Cheers,

Hi guys im sadden to hear that you wont be making mapping for the Denom , firstly could you tell me what it means by mapping engine built-in to Cross ?
Secondly all the revues of the the Denon say that mixvibes will work with it , sadly this is not true.
I work 4 to 5 nights a week as a professional club DJ here in the uk, and I have contacted denon they say Traktor will work with it and there is a mapping on denons website, With the release of Virtual DJ 8 out now within one day of this being out an update was on their site so that mapping does work with the Denon now .
Its sad that my preferred software does not have mapping for the denon, and sadly Im now forced to use Virtual DJ 8 .
I hope I can come back to the software someday, but with this starting to be a mobile and a club djs chosen mixer , and people will use what works with the Mixer like I have, and its ok saying map it ourselves but if we don't know how to do it in the first place , I wont have no idea now. And I asked on the Facebook page and they told me to come on here . I even asked on the denon forum and you should read the reply posted on there.
Thanx and sadly I will have to go to other software for now.
