[INFO] Control your Mouse with your MIDI Touch Pad

Hi MixVibes Community!

This is my first Version of a MIDI TouchPad to Mouse TrackPad script for GlovePie.
It gives you the ability to control your Mouse like a Notbook Mouse Track Pad with any MIDI TouchPad.
There are already some scripts in WWW but no one has the Notbook like behavior i wanted to.
So i started to write my own script which has also 2 Scroll zones!
I know it needs improvements in the code but i´m happy to getting it finnally working...
Everything you need is GlovePie from http://carl.kenner.googlepages.com/glovepie_download,
my script and a MIDI Touch Pad.
I have written some additional describtions in the Code.
You can also find a CONFIG part where you have to set your correct MIDI Devices and Control Numbers.
FURTHER VERSIONS WILL FOLLOW

Please let me know if you have any suggestions!

I like the idea you have behind this! I don't have an XY pad to test it with at the moment, but with the way you have it set up, it looks like you could set MIDI commands to emulate X and Y (possibly 2 faders or knobs) as well.

Thanks for your interest Phadedvison.
But if you want to use a Pad just for controlling
knobs and faders you dont need my scribt or GlovePie.
You can do this already if you set up your MixVibes MIDI Config.
But i guess this is no new info for you :D

EDIT:
Now i understand what you want (it was a long night sorry)
you mean controlling mouse with fader and knobs
Because the MIDI supports only ranges from 0-127 it is not enough
to move over the hole screen. -> 1280x1024 pixels
The mouse wouldt jump about 10 pixels if the MIDI controller is increased by one. So i guess it wouldt be not precise enough to reach every Mixvibes function on the screen.
But if you have rotary encoders it wouldt be no problem.
Some MIDI Controllers with rotary encoders can interpret how fast you turn the encoder (my Zero 8 do so :)
So you couldt turn them slow for pricise mouse inputs and fast if you want to reach the end of the screen quickly.

Please have also a look on my Korg Zero8 MIDI script
Unfurtunally it is still not in the download center

I use the Pad from my Korg Zero 8 Pad for many things...

Awesome...!

Hi Marxon, We have the same mixer, and if I understood well, you use the pad of your zéro 8 as the mouse of your PC!? Do you think that is possible to send to me a .ini , the configuration of the pad associated and a little note?
(Sorry, I have a poor english...)

Thank you Marxon!

Yes it true u can use the pad like a mouse pad from a notebook.
but its done with a extra tool. you will find all information in my first post. just download the rar archiv and load the *.pie file inside of it with the glovePIE tool. there are some additional notes if you open the pie file with a text editor.
post if you need more help.
