home 7 serial#

went to start home 7,,and a window comes up saying serial # is incorrect ,,not a pressing problem ,,rarly even use it any more since Cross has a sampler now ,,but would like to be able to use it if i wanted tooo ,, any possible causes ,, will check the fourm profile to see if its in place and how can i restablish it other than a compleye uninstall and reinstall ,since it will not let me thru this screen
