Help some of my track will not play (solved)

Hi I'm new at this

I have set my equipment up last week all was good everything worked well all DJ tunes mp3 worked with a bpm but my iTunes down loads and my CDs worked but without a bpm which is not a prob as I'm old school


This week none of my mp4 work at all

Why would this be is there a way round this


How ever this software is wicked

welcome and could you please give us more information like which version you use, have you installed iTunes, also a special codec pack? and so on. Need information to help better.

Generell it can be that some tracks can't count the pbm because the file is protected (write protected or other functions). Than DVS can't edit the PBM.
also check with reanalyse if the file maybe is not correct analysied.

I'm using DVS 7.4 I believe

Latest iTunes has updated recently 10. Something maybe 3

I have no Idea what a codec is please explain

Hey,

codecs are MP3, AAC and so on. To play them you need a decoder how can read that codec. So on most machines it is not enough to install iTunes to have an AAC/MP4 codec. You need to install a special codec which can be handle it.

After you installed an codec to decode it it should work.
BUT if they are DRM protected they will only work on the program where you got them. (some older files of iTunes can be DRM protected, video files are all protected!)

But you have to disable the security mode to do it.

I will have a play on Wednesday
So if I have this right if I turn the security off this will sort the codac issue out and mp4 should start playing ?????

First you have to check if you have already installed a codec. You can see if no codec is installed that you can't play them in DVS. Also the right click technic to analyze tracks before loading into a deck will not work until you installed a codec for those files.

So first install the codec (look at google) and then test it in DVS.

Hey,

Have you installed an codec for the files? Please check also if the files are DRM protected then they won't work with other software. Only in that software you bought them.

I will tomorrow Check wich Codec you decently need and report you. I'm on vacation so limited Internet access.
