plug the mpk mini into laptop by usb ...

go to mixvibes MIDI controller page ( go prefencer / options/ MIDI )...
in MIDI page ...MIDI input 1 ...you will see device drop-down box
click the drop-down to see if mixvibes see the mpk mini MIDI controller driver ...if you see akai mpk or USB device your OK..

now... down the bottom off the MIDI input 1 you will see " NEW box "....click new & name it akai mpk mini to make new MIDI map for your controller

now ...use the MIDI learn ( go prefencer/ learning ) to MIDI map the buttons , knobs on your MIDI controller to what you need tham to do in the software

also in view, click on info tab ,this will help with MIDI mapping because you can see what MIDI cc & MIDI note & MIDI channel your mpk mini is sending ....
