I tried to install MV DVS Ultimate on my new netbook (Win 7 Ultimate 32) by using a virtual CD drive (Ultra ISO).
launching "install_dvs.exe" does nothing except showing hour glass activity for half a second. The Task manager shows no Thread indicating any installation activity.
Second try was to use a shared CD drive of another PC in the network - with the same result! No reaction, no error.
What to do?

Worked for me with "DAEMON Tools lite". Created an image with DAEMON Tools lite from the Original DVS CD, transferred that to the netbook where I have mounted it in DAEMON Tools lite. Worked for me

hi Steve, exactly, what I did. Tried with Deamon and Ultra ISO. I can access the CD content and launch the installer exe. But nothing happens! Sometimes I get the message "Proram was not installed properly, try again?" (it's a German Windows, but you'll know the message...). Nothing helps, even cleaning registry and deleting every MixVibes entry (except Cross and U-Mix 44 entries ) is not a solution. The only change is that on the first try to start installation, Windows asks for permission to launch the installer. I confirm...and nothing happens! I tried every compatibility mode with admin rights and so on...nothing. I`ve tried this first. On other Win 7 PCs installation starts after permission dialog, even from an image. Logged in there are only Updates and Release candidates (which are also updates(?)) available; no full version. And, as mentioned before, the Install disc and the respective Image file works on another Win 7 PC (but I won't take this massive equipment with me ). Nevertheless, tried 7.4 RC as standalone installation. MV was installed with success, but launching after installation gives me - as exspected for an update without the basic installation - the message "Bad installation". ________________ Add: With RC 7.4 installed, I tried the original installer with Wireless, Antivirus, and Windows Firewall switched off - so there could be nothing left blocking the original CD installer.
