Issues with U-Mix 44

Postby DJStephSaint on 17 Oct 2011, 01:22

Hi All,

Just wondered if anyone could shed any light.

I purchased DVS Ultimate to use with the time code vinyl but I have encountered a problem.

On setting up, the U-Mix 44 sound card is only playing channel 2 and not channel 1. I have checked turntables and cdj's with a professional's help and all my gear is ok. On closer inspection it appears that the U-Mix 44 sound card isn;t picking up the signal from the left input socket therefore not calibrating and not playing channel 1 out.

On checking settings it states outputs for channel 1 are 1&2 however the inputs are 0&1 instead of 1&2. I have updated all the drivers etc and it has made no difference.

Would you say it's a faulty sound card or am I missing something? All help is greatly appreciated.

If you use CD players besure that your input volume for both inputs is set very low because CD players in general have a huge output volume and so the timecode is hardly (not) recognised.

Hi Steve,

Thanks for your reply. I've checked the volume and it's set correctly low for cdj's high for turntable's. Still not working.

Is it possible to change the input channels to 1&2 in DVS 7. Is there any drop down options for changing the input channels?

Sorry I'm not familiar with DVS 7 but just guessing that there should be

Hi

I've looked at the drop down menu and it selects 1 & 2 for an output but only gives me an option of 0 & 2 on the channel 1 input.

Looking at the calibration on channel 1 it's picking up a signal on the right input (2) from the soundcard but no signal at all on the left input (1). I'm presuming because it's not registering 1 & 2 as an input and only 0 & 2 the signal isn't getting through.
