Playing songs imported from iTunes

Hi there,
I have Mixvibes Home Edition 7 and I'm having trouble playing any music on it. When click to play a song on my playlist, nothing happens. I've tried installing a codec package which will help convert mp4 files to the right format but this has done nothing.

Any help would be much appreciated
Thanks

Hi,
I've tried following the instructions from the other post but this hasn't worked. Is this a common problem? I thought it was supposed to be easy to import music from iTunes but at the moment I can't play anything.
Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong?
Thanks.

Hey,

have you installed an m4a/aac decoder? otherwise you can't play them.
You can use this codec pack. It is open source and is updated often and nearly every codec is in the pack. http://www.mediacodec.org/

After installing restart the computer and start your DVS home edition and test it again. It should work.

If not check the decoder.ini file in the mixvibes folder if there is a line like this:
Code: Select all
.aac .mp4 .m4a      ; dshowaudio decoder

i think the problem is that i downloaded the software online from downloadbuyer and therefore haven't got the usb sound interface and therefore cannot hear/play any audio. I've tried installing the codec but nothing has happened. Is there any way I can get the usb drive?
Thanks

There is no MIDI input device appearing in the software either.

Can you send me a mixvibes usb sound interface because my software is more or less obsolete without one. I want to listen to tracks through my headphones and it seems the only way you can do this is if you have the usb stick and I don't have one so I can't listen to/hear anything.
Many thanks

Hey,

where do you bought the MixVibes version? if you bought the Home pack (which is with the little usb sound card) and the card is not shipped with it you should contact your vendor where you bought it and ask there for a replacement.

If you bought it as an download you can use your internal soundcard or an other soundcard you have. If you have two you can put them together with asio4all and use them at home edition.
