Hi guys!!I was wondering if there is a controler for Mix Vibes to control effect echoes etc..I work with timecode system..So i don't want to leave my mixer and cd player..Just a controler for the other effects..Or maybe can I control effects through keyboard without affecting the timecode system?

Hey,

to my knowlege a special controler for only efects is new for me ;). But you can use nearly every MIDI controler at DVS. Some of them (the most popular devices like Pioneer, some Numark controlers) are pre-mapped so you have only to select the mapping to work with the controler. If you buy an controller which is not in the list:
http://www.mixvibes.com/content/support/dvs-ultimate/dvs-ultimate-articles
there you have to open the "MIDI presets in MixVibes' softwares" to get a list of the pre-mapped devices.
Alternative you can look at your preferences at DVS at the MIDI section and look in the list there.

If you want an controler which is not in the list you have to map it yourself. There you can use auto-learn function (works for 80% of the buttons) some of them you have to map by hand.

If you have some futher question don't hesitate to write again.

Christian

Hey,

nearly everything what you can map with an MIDI device can also mapped with the keyboard. The only thing is that faders and poties are not realy practicable to map with an keyboard.

the best MIDI controller for efx in DVS software is a korg kaoss pad 3
because you can use it as a hardware efx box & as a MIDI controller & map it to the efx in your software...& use the shift button on the kp3 to switch from hardware efx to MIDI controller and back

& thay are cheep now...you can pick one up for under $200
