DVS 7.1. - ignores start/end points

Postby msad2009 on 27 May 2009, 17:42

sorry, just "updated" from version 6.x to 7 - unfortunately DVS ignores e.g. start-times I have entered by editing track-details but starts "somewhere" instead. Am I doing something wrong? Both tags (3v1, 3v2) are checked in the settings!

thanks a lot!

try using 3v2 only, i dont use start and end point myself though there may be a conflict between the way version 6 and version 7 use the information.

regards,
BRyan

hi bryan,

thanks for the quick reply - unfortunately this does not work, i tried it before posting. i also deleted the file, re-imported it, same result. DVS starts e.g. after 7 seconds even though a start time has been set (and is saved with the file) and the start point set by DVS does not make any sense at all. it's a pity, because my individual start points were absolutely reliable and now this seems to be kind of a lottery because i doubt whether i can rely on those defined by DVS. not really an improvement compared with the old version ;-(

the manual does also not really help in that. i already had to re-install DVS because i had switched off an option (automix), after that these option even disappeared from the options-menu, strange behaviour.

so if anyone else out there has an idea how to achieve the old level of comfort (except not using DVS ;-)) i would be really, really happy!

best regards,

martin

no, not yet - just because there was no reason to do that - it's a mystery...in 90% of the files the start point makes sense, in 10% it does not, in some cases not at all...i just wonder what the meaning of start/end in the track/media infos is - in the old version (in fact version 5.x and not 6.x) start point defined the start point - sounds stupid, but now it does not anymore and i just wonder why. and i wonder why i am obviously the only one having this kind of problem ;-)
