Can't reproduce your issue... Do you have others applications that run when you use MV? Maybe it is a CPU problem when you use these particular operations?
If you want to test, try to install the 7.218 version in a separate folder on your hard drive so you can downgrade to the previous version 7.214 and use the two versions. Don't display the Mix rack in MV and try again.

  May be a blind old man missed a beat are you trying it on home 7  because it looks like grant only has home 7  like me    did notice that in the sampler skin that when you hit the sampler button (play ) it takes the track in the player out and put the sample in the player, had to change skins to get this to stop  maybe that is normal , but it didnt do it in the r c ver, but the good thing is the spinning wheel turns

 Also noted that the first time loaded track in to player 2 with the Cross fader in center ,both volumes leveles up and regestring on the meter the sound was not sent out ,had to move the crossfader off center and the sound came on

Yeah... sorry i actually just went back to the 7.214 after i started having all the problems, so, sorry for posting the wrong config report. Of course i have programs running in the back i still have them running in the back with 7.214 and there is no problems what so ever
(please don't take the microsoft method of shifting blame)
I asure you when i updated to 7.218 i had these issues. does the new version require more CPU and Ram? No big deal i'll just use 7.214. I actually even feel in the amount of time that i used the 7.218 that it didn't lock as well as the 7.214, you don't have to take my word for it. But i'm almost 100% sure that this is true. beside i didn't really even notice any diffrence between the 2 other than 7.218 underlined issues ;)

I like to also note further that i have been playing for about 15 years now and atleats 6 of those years that i have been using the mixvibes software. maybe this is not a wide spread problem, but you'll just have to take my word for it. :D
