Producer 7.200 going a bit nuts!

So, i go to work tonight with a nice new install of Mixvibes Producer 7.200...
Things didn’t go so well!

Problem number one..
when i start the night i normally play a short mix to give me time to finish setting up and get myself stocked up with Red Bull and have a short chat with the boss man... in order to play the mix i have to switch off the timecode (no vinyl mode) because the mix is longer than the timecode. But when i switched off vinyl mode Mixvibes shut down! No warning what so ever it just packed itself up and disappeared. I booted up Mixvibes, tried again and it done the same thing... i had to mess about with it and found the solution was to go to “properties/vinyl” and set the control mode to none. This unfortunately meant having to play a cd while i set it all up again.

Every time i pressed the vinyl button Mixvibes shut down, i have changed the skin to see if it was the problem but it does the same with any skin i loaded... and after testing it again when i got home, it now only does it when there is no media in the player... very strange indeed.

Problem number two...
Mixvibes would not let me scan any directories onto the media base, i get an error message saying “The parameter is incorrect” no matter what i try i cant shake this problem off, drag and drop from the Mixvibes explorer didn’t work, drag and drop from windows explorer didn’t work either, the only way to get the files into the media base was to load them into a player first.. i had to do the full night loading tracks from the Mixvibes explorer and that reayl realy realy sucked, LOL .

I have a lot of faith in Mixvibes and i didn’t see this coming, not on an official update anyways... i’ll finish off the weekend with Producer 7.100 then get back on it and see what the deal is...

On the plus side though, its good to see that Producer now supports the dmc/dac controller again ;)

Regards,
Bryan

One thing I noticed is that after changing the key of a song, the waveform jumps around like crazy.

A real bug, Eric will work on it this sunday to bring a patch for the begining of the week.

there is effectively a bug in 7.2 and the vinyl button

the bug happens when there is no media in the player and you unpress the vinyl button

if you press the vinyl button with no media in a player there is no problem

if you press / unpress the vinyl button with a media in a player, there is also no problem

an update will be released monday

BAD NEWS

same thing on number 1 for me...mixvibes crash when you hit vinly button with no tracks in the decks

still no one turntable mode

GOOD NEWS

NO little skip/drift in time code vinly or VCI-100 JOGWHEEL
VINLY feel is better than all other update so far...it feels very good

video scratch & mixing is better....no video freeze when you rewinded the vinly back

found the skin with this feature earlier, cant say i have this problem... i have some thoughts on this feature though ill post them after i get a damn good sleep... got a 6 hour show tonight and playing along side a live band... i'm guessing auto mix and a blow up DJ would be very useful.
