Problem with Producer 7.1 - Final Version

I just updated my 7.o42 version of Producer to the 7.1 version. A Few things seem improved & I like them.

One thing that is really a problem is that when I try to scratch with my VCI-100 or even if I pause a song and use my jog wheel to move the cue marker I can't set the cue point accurately. The cue marker always shifts from my desired point of rest. When trying to scratch there appears to be a very funky kind if drift going on if i can call it that... All related to the same problem.

Example: Song is playing
I pause song from VCI-100
I place my hand on the platter to pull back song & set a new cue point.
I'm approaching my desired point in the song and begin to slow down and take my hand off of the platter
I notice jittering when i take my hand off of the platter
End result - the cue marker did not actually rest where i wanted it to

In the previous version this function worked fine.

Don't know if this problem happens when using control cd's as well.

which vci map are you using....in 7.0.43 is two map's for the vci
one for the vci 1.1 and vci 1.2

in the 7.1.00 is one map for the vci...I think its for the vci 1.2

I've never upgraded to 7.043 my last version was 7.042
I have all MIDI maps. My MIDI map has been slightly customized for how I want to use the controller, nothing was changed with respect to the jog functions.

I'm gonna try a reset of the software this week to see if that clears up anything

you are right Macgyer

after more testing I don't think this is a mapping bug...but a bug in mixvibes 7.1 final...

I get this bug with my vci and time code vinly in 7.1 final
this is a strange one....even the slightest little move on the jog wheel or the time code vinly , forward or back makes the track skip ( drift ) a little

the skip is very slight but it is noticeable when you compare to how well it works with 7.0.42/43....and it makes it hard to set cue markers....hmmmm

and there is another even bigger bug I'm testing tonight
I'm going to chick my set-up config to see if I have missed something....but I don't think I have

I will get back to you all about this one as soon as I have finished the config check and test

Okay so you see it too. Glad in a sense it's not just me. It's a good thing I never delete my older versions of the software..Currently in LIVE applications I still have to resort back to using DVS PRO 6.411.

Even though I like a lot of the improvements made to Producer 7, It's just not ready for LIVE applications where I am concerned.

I'm still not sure how no one caught this bug (if it is a bug) in the final testing.

The software team needs to work on this ASAP. Not necessarily for people like me but for the people who are buying Producer & trying Mixvibes for the first time.

Come to think of it, I've experienced it, but I thought it was because my TCVs are beat to all hell. Also my needles are a little bent too, so I thought that was a factor.

Thanks for the feedback. The developping team is looking into it. We'll be fixing this in an upcoming update
