Saving data from one machine to another..

Postby dj_decka on 01 Aug 2012, 01:22

Hey all,

Here's a question for you all:

Can I set all my cues and loops and etc... on one computer (Work Computer) and transfer the data of all the cues...loops...etc...to another computer? (DJ Laptop)

Both are running the same version, license and files in both machines.

If I can...where would I go to retrieve the data file(s)?

Thank you in advance,
dj_decka

Not sure what is saved in here:

C:\Users\$your_username$\AppData\Roaming\MixVibes\Cross\Peak

but I guess the *.analysis files contain all info regarding a track?! You could try or wait for someone knowing what he is talking about ;)
Viele Grüße,
Cheers,
A plus,
Steve

Hey,

Steve this is for Cross, DVS it is a bit differ but should also work (I never done this but you could test it).

Under the link Blackbrook wrote above (up to MixVibes all correct) you can find .../MixVibes/DVS/...

There you can select all PEAK files (copy them to the same folder under the other machine) and also the Playlists and so on. This should also bring you the songs but attantion!!!!!
You need the same folder structure like on the other computer. So if the files are located at D:\Music it should also located on the other machine under the same path D:\Music. Other it will not work.

regards
Christian
