I think MIxvibes have moved on to their Apps and forgotten about the loyal customers who bought Cross off them!!!

Good thing about the apps is that it generates more win/mac users...

The next version has to many changes to make it a quick release. Several long time users have had the opportunity to provide feedback on alpha versions. It's up to the devteam to translate this into a next phase.

Thanks for the reply.. Do you know if they are planning to upgrade the video mixing to 4 decks in the new version?

It's up to MixVibes to communicate on changes. Only after beta testing is decided which features are to be included.

Why do you need that? Can't imagine that it is possible because it is to heavy to run on a notebook. Even a high end one will have trouble whit 4 video's at ones.

Teo is in the right direction, but not fully. The current Cross can run upto 10 videos + a text/image layer. So using 'only' 4 is doable.

However the higher the vid res/size the more CPU and Mem you need. Cross vid runs 64bit so best there is (consumer/business hardware).

Each increasing size has appx 3-4 times more pixels. Also framerate increases, so the CPU power is usually the bottleneck(and/or GPU).

Also you shouldn't underestimate the skills needed to master 4 videos. Using samples that are synced by the software is a big step away from live 4 channel video mixing.

Hopefully something soon then, they have made such big strides to the other software, IMHO it's better. Thats what made Cross so good the continual tweaks and updates.
