Vista 64 Bit & ASIO

Hey

I have bought a new computer which has 64bit vista on it.Downloaded the mixvibes 7 etc. works fine but the u46 doesnt work.im doing what you have explained but it doesnt finish the installation,it just disappears.When i open mixvibes it says ASIO DRIVER ERROR , i have been through this before when i was using xp too .
I need help immediately .anybody??
And i tried asio4all too,didnt work either mixvibes doesnt see the inputs or outputs :-?

And i cant config report .it says that the config.txt file couldnt be found

Microsoft made the security crazy complicated in VISTA. To authorize MixVibes' config report:

- open the Windows control pannel
- Go to the User Accounts section
- Go to Turn User Account on or off
- Deactivate the UAC
- Reboot

As for the U46MK2 VISTA compatible driver did you take a look at the following post?

Yes i ve tried the newest drivers but it doesnt work :this:

And the user accouts thing,i couldnt find it because im using a german windows :D btw what is UAC ??

Did you uninstall the previous driver before installing the new one?

UAC means "User Account Control"

Now i have two drivers
1 : ESI U46dj
2 : U46mk2

and i cant uninstall both of it,when i try to do it from program files and run the uninstall.exe it tells me to do it from control panel,but in control panel / add&remove programs both of the drivers doesnt exist.. im gonna get crazy !!! :-o:

im thinking about reinstalinng the windows

Well uninstall Windows and installing the right driver properly may be the solution here.

yes you are right but the problem is : there is no right driver for it.esi or u46mk2 dont have drivers for 64bit vista.i must buy a 32 bit vista :-? .ohh thank god that its very very cheap in my school :good:

The problem is solved..
Bought a 32bit Vista :) n everything works fine
