Mixvibes U46 MKII Unstable Audio Behaviour

I had major problems with the Mixvibes U46 MKII soundcard until I installed the latest drivers, which allowed good performance a few times.

But I get random weird problems such as the following, all of which are usually fixed by closing and re-opening the program or rebooting (even though I always run the software after having restarted):
- the timecode signal "beeeep" plays through (the input is muted)
- one of the decks doesn't respond properly through the timecode
- one or both decks only plays the left channel

Another issue is that I have to plug it into one specific USB port or the card won't work (not a big deal though).

Once I get it working, it then works well the whole night without problems.

I intend on trying the ASIO4ALL drivers tonight and hope they work, but I am about to put this soundcard on eBay or something.

Any advice or comments will be appreciated.

Did you mute the monitoring channels?

Maybe you could help.... I just bought the m46mk2 and I can't get it to work properly. I have a MacBook running Traktor. I can get sound through the headphones but none through the speakers, It is not letting me pre listen to tracks. What do I have to do to get this to work properly!!!!

Hi,

What driver version did you install?

As for the software settings you have to ask to Traktor's support. Ask them how to set the sound options.

I thought I should let people know that AGAIN this was a driver issue.

I now use the ASIO4ALL driver which works much better and seems more stable. I did start getting problems though - scratching on the left deck made the sound on the right deck / channel stop mute completely for sections (it resumed when I stopped scratching).

This happened on two separate occasions (shut down in between), and I fixed it by adjusting the PERFORMANCE tab in the config to the left.

Hope that helps.
