Hello,
I just purchased Cross DJ 4 PRO, but I don't see a way to use it as a VST on any DAW. Is there a separate install?

If you're on Windows, the installer should have given you the choice to install Cross as a VST.
Once installed, it is located in the default VST paths:

For the 64bit version:

Code: Select all

C:\Program Files\Steinberg\VstPlugins

and for the 32bit version:

Code: Select all

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steinberg\VstPlugins

If your Windows is 32bit, there will be only one at:

Code: Select all

C:\Program Files\Steinberg\VstPlugins

If you're on macOS, the VST is available separately in the dmg, as well as a shortcut to your VST plugins directory. You need to drag and drop it there to install it.

Keep in mind: this is an "Instrument VST"

I am a computer consultant

There is absolutely no prompt (in the Installer) for Install as a VST

I tried it twice on 2 Windows 10 PCs

I also checked all my 32bit and 64bit VST folders. nothing.

Please advise

Maybe the installer that is accessible on MixVibes Forum Downloads doesn't have the VST prompt options

Please check and try it (the Installer on MixVibes Downloads website) on a Windows PC (so you can see) and let us know what to do

When you purchase the program, the link you get from shareit.com for version 4.2.0 is a 132MB file. This one does not include the VST plugin. When you login on the forum and go to the Downloads section, the setup file for 4.2.0 is 173MB. When you install this one, you do get the VST plugin prompt and on my system it installed it to C:\Program Files\Steinberg\VstPlugins. I sucessfully managed to start Cross DJ inside Ableton Live 10 and Reaper 6

You guys have different builds of the 4.2.0 installer floating around. This is going to cause confusion for both your customers and support people.

BTW: When is the VST3 version coming?

indeed in the initial package of 4.2.0 the 'old' installer menu was back. So technically not a new build but 'only'a new package has been created for the simple reason that a new build would have taken much more time.
