what am i doing wrong with this DVS setup????

OK so i got my hands on a secondhand (well looked after) mixvibes DVS pack mk2,
first i've set everything thing up via my turntable and mixer, i only use a single turntable which is the right so i've got everything wired up to be in input 2 and output 2, i've tried it in every input and output and used every line and phone on my mixer.
but when i get into Cross DJ if i select the asio 2.0 esi u46 driver it says i cant load track and i get no input to the software.
i've tried every driver i can find for it but as my computer is for gaming i don't have a CD drive so i cant use the CD provided to get mixvibes 7.

Is there anything i am missing when install and wiring everything?
no matter what i do i just cant get the software to see that anything is connected.

hopefully someone can help before i ship[ it back and just stick to regular vinyl

'Mixvibes DVS' is completely outdated software. Last update like 15 years ago.

Try downloading the successor.. Cross DJ Pro. Amber button at right top gets you there.

Good news: controller can be used!

Can that be downloaded free as I'm not a fan of companies double dipping people's pockets? I tried the free version of Cross DJ and still no joy getting anything to work.

So is my sound card out dated or just the software. I cant actually use the DVS software anyway as I don't have a cd drive.

 my thought are too ship it back ,, the sound card is viable ,,but as rojec said the software was last supported 10 to 15 yrs ago ,, the sound card might still have drivers avaible but you said you tried .. ?
so cut your losses and get some set up that is more serviceable //
time for research in what avaible ..

If I can get an external cd drive and download the software from the disk it wmshould work then right? If I installed everything recommended from the disk.

Think Daniel overlooked you mentioning downloading the FREE version. This is limited featured version for unlimited period. THe DEMO version is full featured with time constraints.

As mentioned button at right top.

If you run XP, Vista it will work. W7 might work. W8+ not likely you get it to work using 'MixVibes DVS'. It's from the era that all software was distributed by CD... And MixVibes was a rare company that build controllers as one of the few in the world. Also you bought second hand using the adds in the paper...

Also strange remark that you hate double dipping while you did not even purchase 1 thing from MixVibes... But you do expect full support to get your setup to work...

You could waste more time by trying to download v7 from get.mixvibes.com (not sure if still offered via this location)
