So far very happy with the update, specially with the HID control, it's near perfection with my CDJ-850. But I've got a question regarding the Video functions in Cross 4 Pro:
¿Is it possible to load a video and a different audio? I ask that because the use I make of the video is for playing visuals, not for playing music videos. In other software like Serato or Rekordbox I can load an audio track and then load a video that plays along with the audio... but here it seems that you can only load a video (with audio or not) or an audio track, but not the two things at the same time.

Managed to find a sealed, unused U-Mix Control Pro 2 on eBay the other day so been able to give Cross DJ 4 a good going over! Loving having 1:1 mapped controls again but that's another thread in itself!

Took me a while to get used to the new layout and design language, but it's grown on me and overall I'm happy with Cross DJ 4. Still the best track analysis around (Cue Point Analysis needs a bit of work but it's quite impressive for a new feature), sound is as solid as ever, and I've not had any crashes to speak of in the 32-bit version. Effects definitely sound better and are more usable (not that I'm a big effects user) and everything seems tight.

Couple of things I did want to query though:

- Can't get the 64-bit version to run on my 64-bit Windows 10 install. Get the splash screen and then it crashes. Not sure why when my laptop spec is more than adequate.

- VU Meters. I get there's a design language employed throughout, but these are next to useless. With no VU meters on the U-Mix Control Pro 2, it's a case of play it by ear/guesswork when trying to work out how to tweak the gains. I appreciate there are limits to what you can do with digital signals from soundcards, but would it be possible to have segmented meters with dB indicators? Even a 5 interval VU meter in this style would be more useful than the current ones, which look nice and fluid but aren't at all practical.

Cheers,

CJB

If you're not using ASIO4ALL yet then try this in 64bit version.
The U-Mix Control Pro is a 32bit (maybe actually even 16bit) and Cross 64bit is made to only work with 64bit drivers, to be sure that all 64bit features can be used properly with the 64bit rewritten software.

Thanks! I'll give it a go over the weekend. Didn't think about the age of the controller, makes sense now!

We have been long asking and waiting for a better playlist function. One of the important suggestions was a feature where the playlist automatically scrolls up or down when dragging a track up or down. This has not been done in Cross 4. No one has read our suggestions it seems.
Can we expect that in a future update?

So does anyone know where the beatgrid editor is hiding in Cross 4 Pro?

Here is in Cross DJ 4. I think it's in the same place in Cross DJ pro version.

Yep, thanks! That's where it is.
Now we have to do more clicking to switch from grid to hotcues. Could be better.

Yes, you are totally right. The gui of Cross 4 needs a great improvement.

The feature to have 3 fx available at the same time is great, but it fails to work at the moment. I have a Pioneer DDJSB2 with 3 fx knobs. Works great in serato, but not yet in Cross DJ Pro. Only 1 fx at a time.
