Hi everybody!

I don´t get it! I don´t get Mixvibes in Cubase 8. I tried every audio setting in Mixvibes, changed busses in Cubase and read on the internet but somehow I won´t get it together.

Can someone please explain how I can record Mixvibes scratches in Cubase!
Or is it only working with a MIDI Controller!?
Everything is updated, the Mac is a new one and I record Guitars, Keys and drums without any problem.

How does it work!? Thank you for answer!

Andre

Cross sends audio to audio outputs only. If you want to record you either use the record option in Cross or you wire the outputs back to an input that is linked with cubase.

Great it helped you.
Might be good to know that MIDI and audio are totally different things. Have nothing in common from a technical point of view. It are different protocols at different ISO-OSI levels (forget about it if you haven't heart about this  ).

However when working together you can get amazing results...

Yes amazing results, thats what would be desirable
And for sure I´m really not from the technical side but do you know something is planned to get Cross as a VST!? Or another Way to manage it in CuBase!? How do the most of you record their scratches!?
greetings Andre

Not likely Cross will be a VST ever. As with Cross CPU load can run upto 100% it's not really qualified for using as a VST.

In Cross you either record the output signal, or if you use an external mixer you could use the additional input (aux) to be able to record in Cross (using a parallel output of your mixer's Main).

After this you can use the saved file to cut your scratches from it (like with Audacity).

Cross doesn't have a feature to record scratched samples live. But there are various options to save samples from a track. However these are track loops and not scratched audio.
