These things have been getting really hard to find lately. They are currently being sold for extortionate prices by Amazon resellers.

Addemdum: Amazon resellers currently want £45 for one.

For that money, I can get 2 of them custom made and cut onto vinyl with a lathe...

Cross control vinyl was all over the place late 2015. I log on to Ebay in late Jan, early Feb. 2016 and they're all but gone.

My theory: MixVibes bought them all up. Why? Who else would want all that specialized vinyl? There could be several good reasons for the buyback. What's actually the case is probably a combination of these and other things:

-Supply and Demand. MV may be able to increase it's DVS sales by decreasing the supply of it's DVS vinyl.

-Marketing. The harder it is to find a product, the more expensive it gets. The more expensive it gets, the more people associate that expense with status and quality (in general).

-Quality Control. Perhaps MV has some changes planned for their DVS. Changes would be easier to implement without a bunch of outdated stock floating around.

Competition. Pioneer recently added DVS to it's Rekordbox feature set. Is it possible that there were some conflict/compatibility issues between it and Cross DVS? It seems plausible seeing as how Rekordbox was developed by MV DevTeam. And the timing seems about right.

In any event, I need a 2nd and 3rd 12'. Anyone know of where I can get my hands on a pair in the States?

A Tip for MixVibes:
I WOULD REALLY LIKE TO SEE A NEW SCRATCH VIDEO!!!
A new scratch video is looooong over due. Just let people know MixVibes is still rockin' vinyl. It Doesn't have to be anyone super famous, just someone who knows how to scratch. How hard would it be to call up Troubl' or DJ Netik, or Supaphonik and be like "S'up, wanna do another scratch video for us?" How much would it actually cost? 3-500 francs? I would do it for free, but one of my control records is busted and I can't find a replacement! Maybe run a contest for the best scratch video (featuring MixVibes/Cross products of course)?!! The winner gets a new set of control vinyl. ;)

Here's another idea:
Do a scratch video with 2/4 Android tablets running the Cross App, a la DJ Juicy J. Bonus points for incorporating the RemixLive app. That would be dope!
