Hey. I was just wondering, What are some new features that are being worked on for Cross PC? ( If there is any at all ) I think it would be awesome if it got an updated look that is like the Android and Apple versions. Just my thoughts.

Although it would be nice the team don't normally give away what new features they are working on or what features will be included in the future releases of Cross ;)

They hinted they are cooking something up in a thread a while back but didn't elaborate. I have my own wishlist of things for Cross so hopefully whatever it is will be one of them. They aren't gonna say anything because if they did they might get beaten to the punchline by the competition. Its how this game is played.

I do have to admit the transpose feature introduced last time is really handy. It was something I was using when DJing in Ableton before which I missed. I'm interested to see what will be on the menu next...

This is only one of the reasons, definitely not the most important one in software development nowadays. More important is that once you announce it there is no way back (almost). Where as only after the test/release candidate phase you can know that a feature works as expected/intended.

In the title bar of each deck, beside where it says the BPM and the key in Camelot notation, put your mouse cursor there. 3 buttons will appear for "Match" and +- buttons. Those buttons will allow you to transpose the pitch of that deck up and down by semitones, without changing the BPM, or use the "match" button to set the key to whatever the master deck is playing. It will also change the camelot notation for the key, and adjust what tracks are highlighted as compatible for mixing in the library.

I recommend only going up or down a semitone or two, as if you push it too far it doesn't sound good, but when used wisely it will allow you to harmonic mix two tracks that are otherwise impossible to harmonic mix.

And of course, you can map hardware controls to it. It is listed in each deck as "Key Semitones" in the mapping controls.

I would like to see a modern GUI and also i would like to see a feature in settings to link your video files with your audio. In doing this link when you in video mode and load a Audio Track a video clip load with it.

Maybe explain what you think is to be considered modern GUI. ...

The link function for a.v is there for quite a while. Make aure you have separate a.v loading enabled. Load vid and aud. Click link button next to vid.

We all have our wishlists.

Mine is:

3 effects per channel akin to Serato,

MIDI clock out (so I can use my twister sequencer, Crossclock is too laggy for it),

Separate microphone/aux channel so I can route it to the PA without running Ableton in the background,

The ability to have different tracks in the library highlighted different colours (say 256), so I can do things like make all tracks with swearwords/not-radio-safe be bright red. I used to use this to highlight genres too when I was DJing in Ableton.

Stems? Nah they're gonna implement "Stims". Cross will talk to dedicated Mixvibes branded USB hardware that will dispense caffiene pills every time the DJ does something stupid like stops the wrong deck, or plays "Levels". It will revolutionise the industry!
