Upgrade for UMix-Control-Pro? Other controllers?

Hi guys

I have a UMix-Control-Pro, and like it very much. I even have a Stanton SCS.4DJ mixstation, which is OK but the hot-cues don't work as well.

The left jog wheel is becoming less reliable for scratching; the adjustment is right at the limit. At times I have to slap the wheel to make it engage to vinyl mode. I would like to see if it's possible to modify the electronics, or return the controller to Mixvibes for servicing, if that's possible. Otherwise I'll have to look for other controllers.

What controllers do people recommend for Cross? In particular I like to use the hot-cues and the jog-wheels for scratching.

Plus - would it be possible to hook up other controllers such as the DJ Tech VTT-101 in some way? (i.e. get the jog wheel signals from the other controller whilst still getting the rest of the MIDI from the UMix-Control-Pro)

 got the pro 2  guess you have put this controller to work :!: no idea about the servicing ,, :frown:
moving this posting to gen chat for better veiwing and more responces

 you can use more than one controller and modify the mappings to suit your needs ,, which seems like the more reasonable choice to do untill you come up with a suitable replacement

I have now ordered a DJ Tech VTT-101, and hope I will be able to map it to be in place of one of the jog wheels......

Are there any decent tutorials on how to set up multiple controllers?

(have found this which might be of some use)

For instance - would I need to make a duplicate of the MIDI Preset for UMIX-Control-Pro with the ComboJog entry removed? (I think I need to go and play with it...)

 pleanty of options avaible ,, use a akai mpd18 for my sample pads and didnt have to remove the mapping for the pro ,, both work just have two commands for same function ,, like the pro and pro 2 ,, just curious as to why order a controller just for using jog wheels ,, will this controller just replace the control pro ,, :?:
