Cross 4.0 ?

Postby DJ Vintage on 06 Feb 2015, 16:16

I started somewhere early in 2013 with Cross I think. Version 2.3 perhaps? And we just ran through 2.4, 2.5 and 2.6 in no time flat, less than a year. Somehow it feels like 2014 has only gotten us to 3.3.10.

Really curious if we are up for version 4.0 or 3.4 next.

Would love to see the results of what is, no doubt, the very inventive think tank over at Mixvibes.

Likewise. I could go on about how it'll need better whatever, but I kinda hope they will cook up something really interesting that noone else has done before for version 4.

The current filter is pretty good, so much better than the old one. :)

There definitely needs to be a way of chaining at least 3 audio effects in each channel, with MIDI mappable controls, but done in a way noone has before. Perhaps each effect is a block you can drag into a chain, up to 3, that snaps together like lego into a bar at the top?

I don't remember in which version it was implemented but that capability has been available for some time now. map a function to a button, slider or knob and then map another function to the same button, slider or knob. it works

I confirm that you can map multiple command to the same MIDI input since I have done it for my lpd8 on the knobs so that it set FX on/off as well as change the amount.

Away to use vst effect plug-ins would be nice, As for mapping the controller, I completely re-mapped mine, no problems :)
