Hi, I'm Cesar from Brazil

Postby cesarvog on 21 Nov 2014, 18:00

Hello everyone at the Mixvibes Fórum.

My name is Cesar and I've been a mobile DJ since the late 70's. I've learned to beatmatch on a pair of Technics SL-1200... In the early 80's I played on a lot of clubs, parties and all sort of events. Then life happened and I went to the university, got a full-time day time job, married, got 2 wonderful kids and a large house. Now, I'm about to retire and have lots of free time available. I had no trouble transitioning from turntables to MIDI controllers and software. I got my first MIDI controller several years ago (M-Audio Xponent). I enjoyed using Torq 1.0, 1.5 and 2.0.3. All on a few different Macbooks I owned over time. I recently discovered Cross DJ and found out I enjoy it as much as I enjoyed using Torq. I also own a Numark NS7II and regret the fact that Numark went the Serato way, as the software looks like Windows 3.11... LOL.
I hope to learn a lot from other fellow Cross DJ users around here. I have just downloaded version 3.3.5 and a map (produced by fellow user MusicMeister, which I remember from the Torq forums) to enable the use of my old Xponent, which still Works perfectly, by the way.
Regards to all here.

I echo Daniel in welcoming you to the forum. I also converted from Torq which was wat ahead of its time. The only software that comes close to Torq is Cross. Have fun.
