HI Guys,

With Pioneer announcing the new XDJ-1000 CD-Less multi format player I really really do hope that Mixvibes will be supporting it natively in Cross. ;)

I would hope so, but at the moment Pioneer has only announced that it'll work with Serato, like they're the only game in town...

I find it hard to believe that with all our resources here, we couldn't make a map for the XDJ1000.

Shouldn't be an issue, right?

I definitely would think about upgrading to these if Cross gets full HID support (Not sure if that is up to Pioneer or Mixvibes).

In terms of MIDI, the Cross community could easily map this, but that probably wouldn't include touchscreen control.

For now my 850s plus some dicers do the trick.

That will depend on whether Pioneer publish a data sheet or API for how to interface with it, or either Mixvibes themselves or one of us buys one/a pair, and then reverse engineers or otherwise figures out a mapping for it. In theory it would make business sense for Pioneer to just let whoever interface with their stuff as it'll mean they sell more, but some companies just have a massive stick up their arse about doing stuff like that. I don't know how Pioneer DJ, who are now under new ownership, want to play it.

Why has there not been a response to this? Can someone please advise if this is being looked in to or is this request just being ignored?

I downloaded the free trial version of Rekordbox and reverse engineered the code and MIDI maps. I may need more information but mapping this unit is doable. Caveat to this is that in order to make the screen work I need to have the unit and Mixvibes must support a waveform output which based on my limited information I don't think it is currently supported.
